Hi, I’m Roel Vugts, a Music Technologist dedicated to developing creative and innovative audio processing systems. Whether it’s audio plugins, standalone software, or embedded systems for art installations, my mission is to push the boundaries of what’s possible in audio technology.

While studying Music & Technology at the University of the Arts in Utrecht, I developed a passion for the technology behind the music. I became fascinated with creating patches in Max MSP and that quickly expanded into developing my own software in C / C++. I like to manipulate sounds in creative, musical ways, and I love building user-friendly tools that make this process accessible to others. My goal is to transform complex audio processing concepts into intuitive, user-friendly tools that support artists in their creative work.

Alongside my personal projects, I also work for a company where I develop algorithms that aim to improve the perception of music for the hearing impaired. I am also a researcher and system designer at Strijbos & van Rijswijk where I collaborate on innovative musical art installations.
